Collective and Individual Symbolism in Intuition

It’s rare for me to receive intuitive hits about the general public, so I was surprised when I began picking up info about the people around me out to lunch earlier this week. The young people next to me: they were a new to seeing each other, and one of them was already or considering seeing other people. A married couple across from me were concerned about their finances- the man more than the woman.

There were no external indicators to these insights. The younger pair next to me were inaudible to me, and I hadn’t didn’t even see what they looked like, just sensed them out of the corner of my eye. The more mature couple across from me didn’t appear to have any financial concerns. Actually, the opposite, they were both very well dressed and read like established middle class wealth, the type of fifty-somethings you’d see boarding first class.

When I was younger, I would have assumed I was “crazy” or making up stories in my head. I know better now. I know that the information presented by intuition is nonlinear: there are zero external or articulable validators.

It’s wild to me when people say, “I’ll trust my intuition when I can see proof of it.”

Well, get used to never trusting yourself. Literally.

Because intuition acts opposite to logos. Nonlinear information unfolds in the external after you’ve agreed to trust it. Leap, then the parachute cord materializes.

Second, nonlinear information is often very, very ephemeral; vague, unclear, nondescript. It wasn’t clear the exact timeline these two had been seeing eachother, nor was it evident what sort of financial trouble the other couple was facing, nor the case or the extent. Until a deeper read is done,

Nonlinear information is nonspecific. It needs to be respected, invited before revealing more of itself.

Very feminine in that way. Maybe trusting in your insights is a form of foreplay for your intuitive guidance.

It is important to allow the initial hit to just be, not to allow your conscious mind to fill in the gaps or make further assumptions. Just let it be.

I think of initial hits like a soft mist just outside of the person’s auric field. Maybe this is what people who read auras are seeing, what I see in words and images, they see in color.

What you don’t do when faced with fog is reach your hand in and see what else is in there — I just let it be and allow whatever else wants to come forward to meet you, will come forward.

Reason wants to be excavated. Intuition invites. If you excavate an intuitive hit, it becomes distorted with your personal interpretation. Do not attempt to bring into form what is not making itself clear. Let. It. Be.

Second, this information is about the individual — in this case, the individual is two couples. Individual isn’t a single person, but rather a unit sharing a collective symbology. This could be a family unit, a spirit team, or, of course, a single person. Hits with information about the individual will include symbols, imagery, and data points as they relate to this specific unit. I’ll make a separate article discussing imagery of the collective.

An example of individual symbology: in a reading with a client I was receiving images of glitter and oats trailed through the snow. This is highly specific and highly individual symbolism.

It is SO IMPORTANT to say the thing that does not make any sense to you as the intuitive. It’s not meant to make sense to you. It’s meant to make sense to the client.

By withholding a hit, did you consider the damage you’re doing by not allowing Spirit to come through?

I almost didn’t share this specific download, and I am so glad I did. When I did, my client laughed and said: “One of the only whimsical things my family ever did growing up was leave glitter and oats outside for Santa’s reindeer.” Her inner child was pleading for the adult version of her to bring more whimsy into their life, and not to view whimsy through the lense of scarcity.

That is a highly specific, nonlocal intuitive hit about the individual. That symbol of glitter and oats equating to both whimsy and scarcity is the power of individual symbolism. Instead of Spirit stating, “Tell her she needs more magic in her life and that it never runs out, no matter what her conditioning growing up was,” Spirit instead often opts for a much richer, much more nuanced, meaning-filled vision.

I believe Spirit also utilizes images to access preverbal emotional centers and bypass logic and the ego. Meaning is translated at the logical layer of consciousness, but it’s formed in the feeling center — the place where there are no words, there’s only imprinted consciousness.
